This world famous bike ride will take you from the snow capped peaks of La Cumbre outside of La Paz to the humid jungles of Coroico, over 3500 meters (11,000 ft.) in descent! It is estimated that over 25,000 lives were lost in traffic accidents on the Death Road before a paved road replaced it in the mid-1990s. After meeting at 7:30 am the group departs for Chacaltaya to begin the decent from 5,345m (17,500 ft) down to 1000m (3,280ft) in the village of Zongo.
